We know that for some of our students, this is their first school experience. For some of our parents, this is the first time their child has attended school.
As children get older, what is expected in the school and home setting begins to change. Working with groups of 15-22 other kids their own age sometimes makes it tough to know what to do.
Teachers have been sharing with your child what is expected to be "Respectful, Responsible, and Safe." A paper copy of the Madison Park Behavior Matrix is being sent home in Friday folders. The matrix is also pictured below.
As you talk with your child, reenforce what it looks like to "behave" at school in the different settings on the chart.
